On a Claire Day comic collection

In 2005, when newspapers were still being delivered to nearly everyone’s doorsteps, the comics section was the first section most people went to. And having a comic strip published on one of those pages was the dream of almost every working cartoonist. Henry and I were lucky to stand out in a crowd of thousands. We got signed to a major newspaper syndicate for a 10-year contract for our comic, “On a Claire Day”.

“On a Claire Day” is about a young woman leaving the comfort of her parents’ house and determined to make a life on her own. She makes a lot of mistakes, and fights against the strong opinions of the people in her life. But armed with a good heart and an open mind, she makes her way forward toward adulthood, one baby step at a time.

Much of the inspiration for writing the comic came straight from our own lives. In fact, Claire's studio apartment mirrors my first solo place in Boston.

This collection will be the first three years of "On a Claire Day". It’ll feature 350 pages of black & white daily and color Sunday comics, as well as behind-the-scenes material about the making of the comic.

It will be ready to order by end of year 2026. Please contact me if you have any questions or would like to pre-order. Thanks!
